Software Engineer

Chantilly, VA

This role involves full-lifecycle application development, including designing, coding, and debugging applications across various software languages. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, a quick learner, and capable of working independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop applications using Angular, Spring Boot, and Java.
  • Package applications using Docker and Kubernetes to ensure consistency across environments.
  • Implement Kubernetes for automated deployment, scaling, and management of containerized applications.
  • Develop and maintain microservices-based applications that run efficiently in Kubernetes clusters.
  • Collaborate with an agile development team to deliver high-quality software solutions.
  • Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code.
  • Develop and utilize application programming interfaces (APIs).
  • Identify bottlenecks and bugs, devising effective solutions.
  • Adhere to established coding standards and conduct peer reviews.
  • Architect and implement microservices to create scalable, modular, and efficient solutions.

Mandatory Skills:

Significant expertise in Kubernetes and other container orchestration platforms.

Deep understanding of containerization and its role in modern software development.

Proven ability to deploy, manage, and scale applications using Kubernetes in production environments.

Experience with managing clusters, implementing service mesh architectures, and optimizing container-based workflows.

Comprehensive knowledge of microservices architecture.

Experience designing and building microservices to achieve enhanced scalability, reliability, and maintainability.

Understanding the trade-offs in microservices and monolithic architectures, with demonstrated experience in creating distributed systems.

Proficiency in Angular, Spring Boot, and Java.

Strong understanding of DevOps practices and CI/CD methodologies.

Experience implementing testing platforms and unit tests.

Familiarity with accessibility standards and best practices.

Expertise in GitHub, Jenkins, and JIRA.

Experience with AWS Lambda and Python.

Solid understanding of continuous integration and deployment lifecycles.

·       Vacation – 5 weeks of accrued paid vacation per year (i.e., 8.33 hours accrued per pay period worked)
