The Role:

Full Stack Engineer under direct supervision of the Principal Full Stack Engineer is responsible for defining , implementing and continuously improving policies, process and procedures that deliver consistent and reliable products and services to business and customers. You will blend your strong technical skills with an enthusiasm for orchestrating innovative solutions, fostering engaging experiences, and delivering high business value outcomes for our customers. You will collaborate with other developers and also with QA engineers and assists in creating, executing and documenting the tests necessary to ensure that application and technical  environment meets performance requirements and freedom from defects.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring :

  • Minimum of 2 years of software engineering development experience.
  • Robust critical thinking skills coupled with a desire for growth, to learn and to engage with peers in technical and design discussions.
  • Experience in communicating technical needs and capabilities to non-technical team members, product owners, and partners.
  • Ability to utilize a long-term mentality to help produce scalable, maintainable solutions.
  • Passion to provide guidance on standard methodologies and collaborate with other Developers within the wider Digital Technology team. Help to improve engineering, architectural and coding standards.
  • Server-side language experience: Java, Spring, Middle tier restful services, Camel
  • Client-side language, library, and framework experience: Angular, JavaScript/TypeScript, Node, NPM, HTML/CSS, RxJS.
  • Experience with incident management and issue troubleshooting is a plus.
  • Experience in financial services applications is a plus.
  • Cloud – AWS, Azure (preferred)
  • Experience with the Agile (Scrum or Kanban) methodology, Continuous Integration Continuous Delivery (CICD)
  •  Experience with writing automated tests (unit, integration, etc.), and experience following Test Driven Development (TDD)

Any combination of the following is a plus :

  • Experience on Python scripting
  •  Experience or exposure to Docker and other cloud technologies like EC2, S3, VPCs, CloudFront, on-demand instances
  • Experience on Automation Tools/Frameworks (JUNIT, Jasmine, Selenium, Protractor)
  • Hands-on experience with the API Design & Development and Micro Services Architecture

  • Daily activities will involve designing, development, automated testing, meeting with technology peers (including architecture) to work through technical designs, supporting other developers on the team with their work, and participating in Agile ceremonies (Daily Stand up, Backlog grooming, Retrospective meetings)
  • Captures requirements and runs or participates in the systems design effort.
  •  Develop maintainable standard and scalable solutions by following the principles that are created by senior team members.
  • Adhering to project timelines, addressing, and resolving technical issues.
  • Ensuring code reviews, unit testing, and integration testing are completed efficiently and effectively.
  •  Fosters teamwork/motivation and spirit of collaboration with project team and business and systems partners
